Alex has been teaching Spanish to students in Xela and remotely for 5 years. He loves the Spanish language and is passionate about teaching others his language. He has experience with teaching people of all ages and abilities.  

The price for one hour is $17 for the lesson + an additional $2.99 XOOM service fee charge. 

If you sign up for more than one lesson at a time, you can pay for them all at once to avoid multiple service fee charges. ** You are required to pay for the lesson(s) before they begin. 

You will need to download XOOM which is a PayPal service. This is a safe and secure method to send money from anywhere to Guatemala. 

Because Alex lives in Guatemala, payments will need to be made via a PayPal app called XOOM. You will need to enter Alex De Xela's full name (Alexander Lopez Lopez) the first time you pay, enter the amount owed (you will see the conversion from USD to Quetzals), and select Cash Pickup and his bank name, Banco G&T Continental. You will see a fee of $2.99 charge added to the amount sent. When Alex set his price per hour, he took into consideration this fee that you would need to pay. 

Alex has experience with teaching people of all ages and abilities.  There really are no age requirements to participate in these Spanish lessons. Before beginning lessons with a child, Alex will want to discuss with the child and the parent(s) what their goals are to ensure that everyone is on the same page. 

These classes are great for beginners of all ages, as well as students who are brushing up on their Spanish or simply want to practice their conversational Spanish skills. 

Lessons will need to be scheduled at least 2 days in advance so that Alex can be fully prepared for your lesson. You can schedule as far as a month out. 

If something changes with your schedule, please let Alex know as soon as possible by emailing him at alexdexelaju@gmail.com. He will work to reschedule your lesson and he will be able to fit another student into your original lesson time. 

If you look at the online calendar, and there are no open times that work for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to Alex at alexdexelaju@gmail.com. People's schedules are constantly changing, and it might be your lucky day and Alex will be able to accommodate a different time than what is listed. 

Yes, you can schedule more than one lesson at a time. In fact, we recommend that you schedule and pay for more than one lesson at a time to save on the transaction fee that is required to pay Alex in Guatemala.

2. Click on the date to view the available times,
3. Click on the desired time.
4. Click BOOK to add it to your cart. 
5. If you are done selecting lesson times, add your details in the checkout pop up and hit CONFIRM BOOKING.
6. If you want to add more lessons, repeat the instructions above.
